在这里学什么？ Our 5-year MPharm (integrated pre-registration format) course at Birmingham has been specifically designed to meet your needs as a future pharmacist and is an extension of our 4-year MPharm. This 5-year course includes a pre-registration year at a Jhoots pharmacy and on completion of the course you will be able to work as a fully GPhC-registered pharmacist.Throughout each year, right from the start of the course, you will find yourself experiencing real-life or simulated clinical and patient situations. This practical element is supported by your fundamental pharmaceutical and medical science studies, taught by our research-active academic and professional staff and is the ideal balance of hands-on learning and in-depth study.You will learn the science underpinning the use of medicines, including physiology and anatomy of the human body, the effect of medicines on the human body, and how medicines are designed. Alongside this, you will be trained in clinical communications, problem solving, and decision making to ensure you have the skills to enjoy a rewarding career in pharmacy contributing to patient care.Alongside the placement activity in the first 4 years of the Pharmacy course, this 5 year course includes pre-registration training as an integral element. Pre-registration places will be secured by the University, guaranteeing students a placement in a GPhC-approved setting. Throughout the course, vital practice placement opportunities and essential work experience are gained in local hospitals, General Practice surgeries and through our exclusive relationship with two large independent community pharmacy chains in the Midlands. The fifth year placements are currently planned in a community pharmacy.This course is designed for international students wishing to undertake their pre-registration training in the UK, whilst retaining their student visa status.
