Why take the General route in Music?

This route allows for the most flexible programming to accommodate individual backgrounds and interests; it can be as general or as specialized as you wish! You’ll have the opportunity to take courses in both theory and performance, including music history, world music, classical, and contemporary music. You can also earn credits by participating in one of our many performing ensembles, which include orchestras, concert choirs and bands, contemporary and improvisational ensembles, opera workshops, and world music ensembles.

Students accepted into the Bachelor of Music program will automatically be registered into the General Route.

中国学生入学要求

为来自中国的学生设计 Students applying directly from high school. English Language Requirements: A score of at least 90 on the TOEFL iBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language - Internet-based) with no less than 21 on each band, A score of at least 6.5 on the IELTS Academic (International English Language Testing System) with no band less than 6.0 (see Note 4); A score of at least 61 on the PTE Academic (Pearson Test of English Academic) with no less than 60 in each communicative skill.
