The Department of Paediatrics offers programs leading to the degrees of Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy in Medical Sciences-Paediatrics.

Program Requirements:

Students in the MSc program are required to complete a minimum of ★9 in coursework and a thesis.

Required courses:

• PAED 600 (★3)
• ★6 in graded graduate-level courses according to the area of concentration and based on recommendations from the supervisor and the supervisory committee.
• Further coursework may be required depending on the undergraduate background of the student.
• Students in the Maternal and Child Health (MatCH) scholarship program are also admitted to the Graduate Embedded Certificate in Maternal and Child Health Research. See Medical Sciences for the requirements and the MatCH website for more information on the program.

Thesis:

• Registration in 900-level THES

Residence Requirement:

• MSc students must be registered full-time on campus for a minimum of 12 consecutive months.

Length of Program:

• Time to completion depends on the background of the student and on the type of thesis project. A minimum of 18 months is required to complete the MSc degree.
• The maximum time to complete the thesis-based MSc program as set by the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research is four years.

为来自中国的学生设计 The Faculty's minimum admission requirements for the master's thesis and course-based programs are a four year baccalaureate degree, or its academic equivalent, in physical education, kinesiology, recreation or another related degree, with a minimum admission grade point average of 3.0 on most 4.0 grading systems or B on most letter grading systems, based on the most recent two years of full time study (or equivalent).
