在这里学什么？ **Why choose this course**Surrey’s nursing courses are ranked 4th in the UK by the Complete University Guide 2020 and 7th in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2020.Taught by inspiring, research-engaged staff, this course will support you to become a highly-competent mental health nurse.You’ll learn through an equal balance of theory and practice, getting to work with experienced NHS staff in one of the available placement localities. Upon graduation, you’ll be eligible to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.You’ll also have access to our new multi-million pound facility, featuring the new, state-of-the-art Surrey Clinical Simulation Centre.**What you will study**This course investigates the healthcare needs of people with mental health difficulties and their families.You’ll explore the philosophical, sociological and psychological aspects of mental healthcare within current clinical contexts. You’ll develop a clear understanding of the experience of mental health service users and those who work with them, including their families, friends and carers.You’ll have opportunities to take part in simulated practice learning, where you’ll learn about important mental health nursing principles and develop a range of skills, from interpersonal communication and effective assessment, to collaborative working with both service users and their families.
