在这里学什么？

Students in the thesis option are trained with the capability to perform quality research in an area of their interest. In addition to meeting course requirements, a thesis of original research directed by a research faculty member serving as the major professor is required to receive a MS degree with thesis.

The MS non-thesis options (project and course only with examination) are available for students with no interest in completing a thesis or decided by the advisory committee for inadequacy to complete a thesis. These options requires same course hours as the MS thesis option.

  • Project Option: FDSC 503 (6 credit hours)
• All Students:
  • ANSC 525 or PLSC 525 (1 credit hour)
  • FDSC 501 (2 credit hours)

Additional Course Requirements

• Option Variations
  • Thesis Option: Minimum of 21 additional credit hours of graduate course work is required.
  • Project Option: Minimum of 21 additional credit hours of graduate course work is required.
  • Course only with comprehensive exam Option: Minimum of 27 additional credit hours of graduate course work is required.
• This work must be approved by the student’s advisory committee.
• A minimum of 14 credit hours exclusive of FDSC 502 must be courses numbered above 500.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants must have obtained a bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by the appropriate regional accrediting agency, recognized by the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEEA). A non-U.S.?degree must be equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from the United States and must be granted by a recognized or accredited foreign institution. United States degree holders must have earned a minimum of 2.7 out of a possible 4.0 GPA or a minimum of 3.0 during the senior year of undergraduate study. If you have completed previous graduate coursework, you must have earned a minimum of 3.0 out of a possible 4.0 GPA. Minimum score requirements for admission to the Graduate School are: a total score of 80 on the internet-based TOEFL (iBT), a 6.5 overall band score on the IELTS.
