The Master’s program in Curriculum & Instruction - Learning, Design & Technology systematically prepares education, healthcare, and business professionals to create, deliver and analyze instruction and improve performance using effective technology tools. The program provides opportunities to learn new and innovative skills to integrate the latest technologies in teaching and learning. There is a strong connection between course activities and implementing and improving practices in an instructional setting.

The Learning, Design & Technology program consists of 10 courses - two Curriculum and Instruction core courses and eight Learning, Design & Technology specialization courses. The program can be completed in five semesters.

Each semester, students can choose classes that are taught face-to-face at UH or at UH at Sugar Land, or they can choose online classes. Students may complete the entire degree online if they wish.

Students learn the following skills:¬

Integrating technology into educational practice to improve learning in innovative and creative ways,

Using a diverse range of technologies to connect and collaborate with others,

Designing authentic learning experiences and assessments using the instructional design process,

Applying and incorporating digital citizenship in teaching and learning activities,

Engaging learners through online and blended instructional approaches,

Strategically planning for technology use, implementation and dissemination in educational practice, and

Making sound decisions based on research about the use of technology to support and enhance learning.

为来自中国的学生设计 All graduate students are required to provide proof of the attainment of a Bachelor’s degree before enrolling at the University of Houston. English Language Proficiency Requirements: TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) - The minimum TOEFL score required is 79 for the internet-based test. The minimum TOEFL score for the new revised paper-based exam is: Reading 20, Listening 20, and Writing 20. IELTS (International English Language Testing Service): The minimum IELTS score required is an overall score of a 6.5.
