专业概况

在这里学什么？ Mental health nurses provide care for people experiencing mental health problems, working in the community, specialist hospitals or health centres. You will learn about how to support people during the most acute phases of their distress, how to work with people who have issues around substance misuse or offending behaviour and how to help those with ongoing mental health problems.When attending the University you will be welcomed into a relaxed and friendly environment in which to learn. A wealth of facilities are available to you including formal teaching, group and one-to-one sessions; all provided within a comfortable and enriching learning space. 50% of your studies will be spent in hospital and community settings, within the NHS and independent sector which includes prison placements, where you will spend time in a well-supported environment, working alongside qualified practice assessors and supervisors.In the third year, you may have the opportunity to go on an international placement to experience care outside of the UK.On successful completion of this course, you will have a recognised degree qualification that leads to registration as a qualified nurse, with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants with a graduation certificate from a specialised college or school (zhongzhuan) with a final grade of 60% or above will be considered for the International Foundation Year. Applicants who have completed the huikao (senior secondary school) with a final grade of 60% or above will also be considered. Applicants who have completed three full years of high school and hold a senior secondary school graduation certificate with an overall minimum grade of 60% will be considered for undergraduate study. Applicants who hold a dazhaun qualification with a score of 60% or above will be considered for advanced entry on relevant undergraduate programmes if appropriate modules have been studied. Applicants who have achieved ACC/BCC/BC in graded units on their SQA-HND programme will be considered for final year entry on selected undergraduate business programmes. We require IELTS 6.0 (with a minimum 5.5 in each component) or equivalent.
