The RN-to-BSN online program from Loyola University Chicago's Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing allows you to obtain your Bachelor of Science in nursing degree in a minimum of three semesters. Designed for licensed, professional nurses, the online nursing courses maintain high standards in advanced education to enhance healthcare quality and job opportunities.
Students must complete a minimum of 30 credit hours of online courses to earn a BSN degree from Loyola University. Courses will be taught in 6-8 week sessions with each course spanning three credit hours. Ongoing online elective courses will be offered for students that require additional credits.
If you have an associate degree (ADN) or hospital nursing program (diploma) and want to further your education without putting your work on hold, enroll in our RN-to-BSN online program. Admissions are open year-round. Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing alumni enjoy successful nursing careers nationwide.
Outcomes for the BSN Program:
The goal of the BSN program is to prepare baccalaureate generalist nurses. At the completion of the program, graduates are expected to:
- Synthesize knowledge from liberal arts, sciences, and nursing science as a basis for professional nursing practice.
- Integrate levels of prevention, quality, safety concepts and principles and leadership into professional nursing practice.
- Provide culturally competent, effective and patient centered professional nursing care to individuals, families and communities across the lifespan.
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with the patient and interprofessional team to deliver safe, patient-centered and evidence-based care to individuals, families and communities.
- Integrate values, ethics and legal knowledge into nursing practice.
- Integrate scientific evidence and patient, family and community preferences into the planning, implementation and evaluation of professional nursing care.
- Apply skills of information technology and information management effectively in professional nursing practice.
- Analyze ways governmental, institutional and professional policies directly and indirectly influence the healthcare system and population health.

为来自中国的学生设计 Students must have completed a secondary and high school. A minimum score of 79 is required for the TOEFL, A minimum score of 6.5 for IELTS, 53 on the PTE.
