HDFS students acquire a broad knowledge of human development, family development and family systems in preparation for working with people and communities in a variety of career fields ranging from local organizations, to non-profit, to government agencies. The HDFS degree provides students a program of study in one of the following 4 concentrations:

Family and Community Concentration
Lifespan Development Concentration
Teacher Certification in Human Development and Family Science (8-12th Grade)
Teacher Certification in Family and Consumer Sciences (6-12th Grade)
