The Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Teacher Education with a Concentration in the Learning Sciences Program helps students develop mastery in general focal areas that will strengthen work in the field of education, including:

• Understanding and Enacting Powerful Teaching and Learning;
• Empowering Motivated Learning; and
• Harnessing Educational Research for Theory, Practice, or Policy.

Research Interests

Faculty in the M.Ed. Learning Sciences Program engage in research in a wide range of areas. These include: equity in science education; student culture/identity and learning; professional development in math education; educational psychology; motivation; self regulation; understanding student learning; socio-cultural lens on learning; student belonging; teaching politics; and online education.

• TED 628 Learning and the Learner (3 hours)
• TED 545 Diverse Learners (3 hours) or TED 646 Intro. to Equity Education (3 hours)

为来自中国的学生设计 All applicants must have obtained the following: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or appropriately-evaluated credentials for non-U.S. schools; satisfactory academic standing as an undergraduate or in a post-baccalaureate program. Non-native speakers of English must validate proficiency in the English language by one of three means: TOEFL: 79 (paper-based 550); IELTS: 6.5 Band Score; PTE: 67; and ELS: 112.
