The Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Fashion Design integrates conceptual, technical and production design knowledge and skills, leading to a synthesis of the design process from concept to production. These processes include color, design and trend research; technical sketching and rendered illustration; pattern-making and garment construction; analysis of appropriate fit and fabric selection; and the ability to communicate specifications for production using industry standards appropriate to specific markets.

Program Learning Outcomes

Graduates of this program will be able to:

• Understand the fashion industry, fashion markets and fashion products and services
• Demonstrate skills appropriate for designing within the fashion industry
• Apply technology to design within the fashion industry
• Articulate conceptual and critical thinking applicable to design in the fashion industry

• Employ research processes and practices in the fashion design industry

为来自中国的学生设计 New freshmen applicants must finish secondary school in their home country by the time of enrollment to be eligible for university (comparable to the completion of senior high school in the U.S.). Freshmen should meet the minimum requirement of GPA 2.5 on a U.S. 4.0 scale. Applicants must obtain a minimum score of TOEFL Paper Based Test is 525 (71 on the Internet based version), the minimum score of MELAB is 75 or IELTS minimum score of 6.0 and the minimum score of PTE academic is 48.
