At MICA, we explore games from a unique perspective that can only be found at an art and design college. Our program explores the role of play in our culture and questions how games are used to entertain, educate and create meaning.

Working in a team-based, open lab model, students learn to make games from prototype to finished form and are able to focus on individual areas of interest-including game design, narrative, programing, art production, animation, sound, and more-as they work on collaborative projects with a variety of external partners. The curriculum, which expands upon MICA's successful concentration in game arts, reflects the multidisciplinary nature of game development and draws upon the College's renowned faculty in interactive arts, illustration, and animation so that students gain an outstanding technical and conceptual skill-set in preparation for a career in game design.

Faculty who are leaders in design professions connect MICA students with outstanding opportunities for internships, freelance and career-launching jobs.

Alumni from Architectural Design/Environmental Design, Game Design, Graphic Design, Interactive Arts and Product Design programs are thriving in design fields.

Some companies who have hired MICA designers for jobs or internships include Abercrombie & Fitch, Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, Google, Kate Spade, Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Museum of Modern Art, National Public Radio and Under Armour.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants must provide the equivalent of a high school transcript. A minimum score of 6.0 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is required. A minimum overall band score of 75 on the IBT Test of English Language as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required.
