Overview

A business degree is a powerful, career-launching qualification, and if you’re interested in a career in business, combining two subjects will give you sought-after skills, exciting experiences and a whole world of future career opportunities.

You’ll develop a specialist in event management that could see you planning corporate events, concerts, festivals or sports fixtures, right across the globe. You’ll get hands-on experience on a live event management project, hear from industry-leading guest speakers and go on rewarding field trips.

Learning Outcomes

This course is designed to integrate a deep understanding of the subject matter with the development of key skills and competencies needed, allowing students to adapt to a rapidly changing, dynamic and competitive global marketplace. Upon completion of this course, you will:

• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of complex modern business concepts, functions and procedures as well as contemporary issues and challenges.
• Demonstrate an understanding of and the ability to apply classical and contemporary principles of event management within business planning.
• Demonstrate intellectual and transferable skills, especially those relevant to the practice of business and event management, including analytical, critical, individual and team skills.
• Apply knowledge of business concepts and functions in an integrated manner and appreciate new and emerging ideas and trends affecting the event management industry.
