Overview

The BA (Hons) International Business degree gives focus to the increasingly globalised world we live in. Having a good understanding of the key aspects of doing business on a global scale will certainly give you an advantage in the workplace.

During your studies, you will gain a better understanding of how international trade works and learn about the different issues facing global business, including how this might affect the traditional business management functions such as marketing, human resources and purchasing and supply.

Learning Outcomes

This course will provide you with a complete understanding of the global business environment and equip you with the skills required to be at the forefront of the international business world.

The programme is designed to integrate a deep understanding of the subject matter with the development of key skills and competencies needed to adapt to a rapidly changing, dynamic, and competitive global marketplace. Upon completion, you will be able to:

• Demonstrate knowledge of concepts and procedures related to business functions and processes.
• Evaluate the legal, social and economic environments of business.
• Apply industry- and discipline-specific tools to the analysis of targeted international business opportunities and challenges.
• Identify ethical obligations and responsibilities of business.
• Analyse human capital dynamics and management tactics in cross-cultural international environments.
• Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to make effective and ethical business decisions.
