I’ve been a teacher most of my life having taught for about 25 years. I have taught all over the world: South Africa, Israel, Holland, Thailand and now here in China where I have been for the past year. I have grown to love this amazing country and its friendly people.

I try to make my lessons them interesting and fun so that the students enjoy the lesson as I find that a happy students will be a good student. For this reason I enjoy using power-point presentations with good quality and humorous pictures, to entertain and educate at the same time and I have had great results using this method.

Hello my name is Chase Silk and I'm from the coastal city of Durban, South Africa. I completed my degree in Jazz and Popular music in 2014 before moving to China.

I developed a passion for education during my final year of studies in the Honours music education course, realising educations vital role for a society's development as well as personal success.

I have always considered myself to be a self-actualiser, thus continually striving to be a better educator. Outside of education, I love music and its culture (i.e. my music degree), playing sport (terribly), traveling and experiencing foreign cultures, and many many more.
