在这里学什么？ Summary: Being successful in today’s global business world is about being innovative, making difficult decisions and taking calculated risks to build a sustainable business model. This engaging and diverse business and management degree explores the critical areas of business and management practice and underpins this reality with the foundations of organisational theory. This blended approach creates the ideal environment for you to develop the skills necessary to succeed in this highly competitive business environment. This degree includes an integrated foundation year for you if you do not have the appropriate qualification or experience for direct entry to year 1 of the degree. The foundation year helps you develop knowledge and skills to make the transition to university study, and in particular, to gain business and management knowledge and develop academic and personal skills to proceed confidently through the remainder of the course. During the foundation year (Year 0) you study a range of fundamental business and management subjects, and develop important practical academic skills to prepare you for the remainder of your course.As well as the core areas of business – human resources, finance, operations, digital business and marketing – you focus on developing your business thinking, analysis and problem-solving skills, applying them to theoretical and simulated business cases, and directly to real-time business. Working closely with our business partners you build networks and explore opportunities to develop your own careers in the business world. Course details: Modules are taught by lectures, seminars, practical workshops, work-based activities and group work. Teaching staff adopt a range of web-based technologies to deliver module content, assess, provide feedback and communicate with students. The programme is assessed via a variety of methods including assignments, examinations, group work, presentations and live practical projects. Between Year 2 and your final year, you have the opportunity to spend a year in industry on placement, or study abroad at one of our partner institutions. Alternatively you could proceed on to the final year. After the course: Due to the diverse nature of the degree our students progress to a range of businesses and sectors securing roles from general business manager to social media executive, international business representative to social entrepreneur, and retail manager to new business adviser. We provide an environment that allows you to develop the ‘extra’ practical employability characteristics that will make you more interesting to employers in the job market in the years to come. All programmes are designed to incorporate employability skills development alongside your degree course. Our staff utilise their extensive business connections to provide many and varied opportunities to engage with potential employers through fairs, guest lecture sessions, live projects and site visits. In addition we offer a series of workshops and events in the first, second and third year that ensure all students are equipped with both degree level subject knowledge PLUS the practical skills that employers are looking for in new graduate recruits. We also offer extensive support for students to find and secure industry year placements which have been shown to make have significant positive impact on a student’s career prospects on graduation. Our award-winning careers service works with regional and national employers to advertise graduate positions, in addition to providing post-graduation support for all Teesside University alumni.

为来自中国的学生设计 For entry onto a Foundation or Extended programme, applicants require: Huikao (Chinese senior secondary school graduation certificate) Successful completion of the first two years of Senior Secondary School with a minimum average of 70% or successful completion of Senior Secondary School with a minimum average of 60%; For entry onto an Undergraduate programme, applicants require: For entry onto Year 1: Huikao (Chinese senior secondary school graduation certificate) Successful completion of Senior Secondary School with a minimum average of 80% Or Gaokao (Chinese university or college entrance exam) with a minimum score of 500; For entry onto Higher National Diploma: Gaokao with a minimum score of 450; For entry onto Integrated Master of Engineering – MEng (Hons): Gaokao with a minimum score of 550; For entry onto Undergraduate top-up programmes (third-year entry); Dazhuan (three-year college graduation diploma) with a minimum of 70% average or, SQA Higher National Diploma with BBC as minimum or, Edexcel Higher National Diploma – standard UK entry requirements or, UK accredited foundation degree.
