在这里学什么？ **Summary**: This degree includes an integrated foundation year if you do not have the appropriate subjects and/or grades for entry to year one of the degree. The course develops your knowledge of classic and contemporary texts, genres and periods ranging from 18th-century and Victorian literature to popular fiction and their adaptations.**Course details**: Do you enjoy reading and writing? Do you take pleasure in thinking for yourself and exploring new ways of interpreting the world around you? If you do, you are certain to enjoy studying English. Engage with these and other questions on our cutting-edge programme. This course explores a traditional and respected academic subject in exciting, new and creative ways by addressing modern styles of writing and other cultural forms such as film and television.**After the course**: English Studies is a degree which opens career opportunities in journalism, media and communication, retail management, local government, the creative and cultural industries, arts administration, civil service, education, performing arts and the law. 为来自中国的学生设计 For entry onto a Foundation or Extended programme, applicants require: Huikao (Chinese senior secondary school graduation certificate) Successful completion of the first two years of Senior Secondary School with a minimum average of 70% or successful completion of Senior Secondary School with a minimum average of 60%; For entry onto an Undergraduate programme, applicants require: For entry onto Year 1: Huikao (Chinese senior secondary school graduation certificate) Successful completion of Senior Secondary School with a minimum average of 80% Or Gaokao (Chinese university or college entrance exam) with a minimum score of 500; For entry onto Higher National Diploma: Gaokao with a minimum score of 450; For entry onto Integrated Master of Engineering – MEng (Hons): Gaokao with a minimum score of 550; For entry onto Undergraduate top-up programmes (third-year entry); Dazhuan (three-year college graduation diploma) with a minimum of 70% average or, SQA Higher National Diploma with BBC as minimum or, Edexcel Higher National Diploma – standard UK entry requirements or, UK accredited foundation degree.
