专业概况

Be prepared to fill in-demand opportunities in secondary education. In this specialized concentration that covers a breadth of English academic areas, you'll enhance your writing and communication skills and be prepared to pass these skills on to the next generation of Arizona learners, helping to propel them toward their own successes.

Program Description

The BA program in English with a concentration in secondary education provides rigorous content in literature, composition, linguistics and secondary teaching, extensively preparing students to meet the needs of all student populations, including attention to levels of student academic performance and cultural and linguistic diversity.

Career Opportunities

Graduates of the program earn Arizona Department of Education certification for middle and high school English language arts and are prepared for careers as secondary school teachers.
