The ability to write and speak Spanish has never been more relevant for traveling, teaching or business. NSU Spanish courses concentrate on real-world application. With a Spanish degree, you'll be equipped to apply your Spanish knowledge, practice and experience to best serve your interests and career pursuits.

Through NSU's Spanish program, you'll gain an understanding of Spanish and Spanish-based culture and language as it thrives outside the classroom. Engaging, stimulating Spanish instruction is provided by instructors with actual field experience in Spanish-speaking countries.

Familiarity and experience with Spanish can advance the career aspirations of anyone seeking to succeed as a professional in the global economy. Many employers seek out applicants who speak more than one language and are knowledgeable about other cultures.

CAREERS Foreign-language graduate employment is concentrated in private, for-profit businesses and corporations; and in the education sector, mostly as secondary school teachers.

Potential job titles include elementary, middle, and high school teacher; adult educator; interpreter; news analyst, reporter, and correspondent; writer, editor and translator; advertising, marketing, and public relations specialist; and foreign service officer.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants to NSU must: Rank in the top 60 percent of their high school graduating class; or achieve an ACT composite score of 18 or above; SAT score of 950 or SAT Reasoning Test Math and Critical Reading sub scores total of 870 or above or Earn a GPA of at least 2.6 on a 4.0 scale in all high school courses and complete the following required courses with a cumulative grade of "C" or higher (GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale): Four years of English or ACT English sub-test score of 18 or above or AP English score of 3 or above; Three years of advanced mathematics: Or ACT math sub-test score of 20 or above or AP calculus score of 3 or above; Three years of laboratory science or ACT science reasoning sub-test score of 17 or above or AP science score of 3 or above. English Language Requirements: TOEFL IBT (61-70 or above); TOEFL PBT (525 or above); IELTS (5.5 or above); PTE Academic (41 or above).
