专业概况

The undergraduate degree provides the ‘pre-professional’ coursework needed to pursue graduate education in speech-language pathology. The B.S. in CSD is viewed as ‘pre- professional’, because an M.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders is required to practice as a speech-language pathologist, and an Au.D., Doctor of Audiology, is required to practice as an audiologist.

Individuals who have earned an undergraduate degree in a field other than communication sciences and disorders, and are interested in a career in speech-language pathology, may enroll in the Post-baccalaureate course sequence also through CEHP at UA Little Rock. Students interested in enrolling in the B.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders or the Post-baccalaureate course sequence are encouraged to contact the Undergraduate Program Coordinator. Post baccalaureate students interested in audiology may be admitted directly into the Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) program, but must take 6 hours of undergraduate coursework which will not count toward the Doctor of Audiology degree.
