For highly-motivated students, St. John’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences offers a combined bachelor and master’s degree program in Italian and Library and Information Science. The program allows you to complete your undergraduate and graduate degrees in five years of full-time study, with internships available at the graduate level.

The combination of the two degrees will prepare you for a career managing a library, information center, or information system with a global perspective. Your knowledge of the Italian culture and language will make you uniquely employable as a librarian or information specialist once you graduate with your master’s degree.

While in your fourth year of undergraduate study, you will complete the following graduate Library and Information Science required courses:

• LIS 203 Information Organization
• LIS 204 Introduction to Library and Information Science
• LIS 205 Information Sources and Services
• LIS 239 Research and Evaluation Methods
