专业概况

在这里学什么？ This BEng programme equips you with the underlying knowledge and skills you need to become a creative Civil and Structural Engineer, capable of planning, designing and overseeing the construction of sustainable structures and transport infrastructure systems.Civil and Structural Engineering involves the design, construction and maintenance and repair infrastructure such as roads and bridges, buildings, and underground transport systems.You’ll develop a broad knowledge of geotechnical, structural, environmental and management aspects of civil engineering, and gain the computing, mathematical, drawing and communication skills you need as an engineer.On completion of the programme you’ll be able to enter a range of graduate civil engineering roles. Our employability rate is 97% - one of the highest in the UK. You’ll be joining a dynamic profession with a high demand for skilled graduates, and contribute to the prosperity of our society.We also offer a 4-year MEng version of the programme. The additional academic year enables further study of the technical and managerial aspects of civil and structural engineering, and provides the fastest route to Chartered Engineer status. **Professional accreditation**This course is accredited by the Joint Board of Moderators which includes the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE), Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT) and the Institute of Highway Engineers (IHE), and satisfies the educational base to becoming an Incorporated Engineer (IEng) and partially meeting the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered Engineer (CEng). This course is also recognised by ENAEE (European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education).**Rankings**Civil Engineering at the University of Bradford is ranked 7th in the UK in the Guardian University League Table 2021.
