The Bachelor of Social Work (B.S.W.) offers a curriculum in generalist social work practice which includes knowledge, skills, and values that can be used in working with individuals, families, and communities. Social workers are employed in a variety of contexts, including health care, education, social services, child welfare, policy, and more. Graduates are eligible to apply for admission into a 1-year accelerated M.S.W. program, making an undergraduate degree in social work an appealing option. IU Bloomington offers this 5-year pathway to a B.S.W./M.S.W.
