We work in a rapidly evolving and changing business environment with a landscape of both emerging and established technologies. This course offers you the context and skills needed to formulate, analyse and communicate technology policy to successfully manage technology and innovation in its widest sense. With innovation as the central thread running throughout your studies, TPM will equip you with a thorough theoretical grounding and practice-based understanding of technology policy and management. Simultaneously, you will develop considerable practical skills in the formation, analysis and communication of technology policy. Technology Policy & Management is a cross-faculty programme drawing from the significant academic expertise of all four of the University's faculties (Strathclyde Business School, Engineering, Science, and Humanities & Social Sciences), allowing you to develop a truly multi-disciplinary perspective. This wide perspective will equip you well for boundary spanning careers in a variety of contexts relevant to technology policy and management. University of Strathclyde is embedded in, and an integral part of, Glasgow City Innovation District (GCID). GCID is home to global innovative companies and organisations who've located in Glasgow to nurture and accelerate growth, improve productivity, and access world-class research and technology from the University of Strathclyde.
