专业概况

在这里学什么？ Film & Visual Culture and French at Aberdeen gives you thorough training in the history and theory of the moving image in the 21st century from a contemporary European perspective. You will study the language and culture of French-speaking countries, including cinema and opening international possibilities to a career in creative arts and media and many other options too.Our unique Film and Visual Culture programme combines close analysis of visual objects and artefacts – analogue and digital, moving and still, underground and mainstream – with theories of visual representation, production and circulation. You will gain specialist knowledge and skills in the academic study of cinema, with an emphasis on building analytical skills in research and critical writing. You will also have the opportunity to develop skills in digital video production and web design.French at Aberdeen has an outstanding reputation, gaining the highest possible rating in the last national Teaching Quality Assessment. You will be taught by staff internationally recognised for their research. You will add familiarity with French cinema to your growing language skills and studies of contemporary civilization and culture, Francophone and post-colonial studies, philosophy, history, sociology, linguistics, theatre and most genres and periods of French literature from the middle ages to the present day.As an integral part of your 4-year programme, you will spend half of year three developing your language skills as a teaching assistant or visiting student in a French-speaking country. You will graduate well prepared for a career in the creative arts, new media, journalism, teaching and with the international dimension opening opportunities in business, tourism and many other options.

Alternatively, good scores in the GAOKAO will also be considered. Science: Students with overall scores of 80% and above in the Senior High School Diploma will be considered for entry. Students must score 80% or above in two science subjects. Alternatively, good scores in the GAOKAO will also be considered. Engineering: Students with overall scores of 80% and above in the Senior High School Diploma will be considered for entry. Students must score 80% or above in Maths and Physics science subjects. Alternatively, good scores in the GAOKAO will also be considered. Law: Students with overall scores of 85% and above in the Senior High School Diploma will be considered for entry. Alternatively, good scores in the GAOKAO will also be considered. IELTS overall score - 6.0, Listening - 5.5 or above, Reading - 5.5 or above, Speaking - 5.5 or above, Writing - 6.0 or above. TOEFL iBT overall score - 78, Listening - 17 or above, Reading - 18 or above, Speaking - 20 or above, Writing - 21 or above.
