专业概况

We know our students have wide ranging interests regarding the kind of administrative or leadership fields they’d like to pursue, so we tailor your educational plan to best suit your career goals. Generally, you’ll focus in one of three areas: operations management, healthcare consulting, or project management. In addition to coursework in leadership development, research, and systems thinking, we also cover financial management, strategic planning, quality improvement, and patient safety processes, all with an emphasis on administration in diverse healthcare settings.

Coursework

This program consists of eleven courses in nursing administration, one nursing leadership elective, and three elective courses from the Healthcare Management major at Wharton or the Organizational Dynamics Graduate Program in the School of Arts & Sciences.

Many students in our program elect to minor in related areas like Health Informatics, Organizational Dynamics, and Quality Improvement and Safety Processes in Healthcare, and some pursue a dual MSN/MBA degree.

The 14.5 C.U. Nursing and Healthcare Administration Program combines 10.5 CUs of coursework in nursing administration core courses and 1 CU of a nursing leadership elective, as well as 3 CUs of elective courses in the healthcare management major in the Wharton MBA program, from the MSOD program (Organizational Dynamics in the School of Arts & Sciences) or the Master in Law degree in the Health Law Track.
