4月20日下午，罗湖区教育局组织召开民办教育高质量发展推进会，会上解读了《罗湖区推进民办教育高质量发展实施意见》，提出“加快体制创新，加大扶持力度，加强规范管理”等六大措施，用三至五年时间打造一批在全市具有较高知名度和较强品牌优势的国际化优质化民办学校。

On the afternoon of April 20th, the high-quality development promotion meeting of private schools in Luohu District was held in the District Education Bureau.

金安教育集团陈胜坚主席，作为高端、国际化民办学校典范代表，在大会上以《发挥民办教育优势 办高端国际学校》为主题发言。

2019年，学校向IBO国际文凭组织提出IB-PYP申请，2020年3月，IBO国际文凭组织批准华美外国语学校正式成为IB-PYP候选学校，今年3月26日，华美行政团队、IB-PYP协调员拜访IB官方培训官，双方就华美IB理念下的课程实施作深度交流。

In March 2020, IBO International Diploma Organization approved Huamei Foreign Language School as an IB-PYP candidate school.

近期，学校董事会决定增加投入1000万元支持华美的IB课程建设。为了扩大办学规模，董事会还将投资1.5亿元建设二期工程，高薪向全球招聘优秀骨干教师和IB-PYP协调员。
