The Bachelor of Business is designed to prepare you to be work-ready for a business career and equipped with a strong ethical and faith framework to succeed and to do something significant with your skillset.

The structure of the Bachelor of Business is designed to provide foundational business theory and skills and allows you to develop extended knowledge in an area of specialization by majoring in either Accounting or Leadership & Management.

COURSE STRUCTURE

The course structure is based on six semesters (each of 12 weeks duration, plus an exam week), with four subjects taught in each semester. It comprises:

10 compulsory core subjects (100 credit points)

8 subjects in the Major/Specialization (80 credit points)

6 elective subjects (60 credit points)

To qualify for award of the degree of Bachelor of Business a candidate shall accrue an aggregate of at least 240 credit points, including satisfactory completion of the core subjects.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES

Knowledge:

Demonstrate

a broad knowledge of business theory, business principles and practices, with depth in the areas of either Accounting or Leadership and Management.

Skills:

Demonstrate

skills to analyze, synthesize, and apply knowledge of business theory, principles and practices;

skills to understand and communicate a Christian worldview, with particular emphasis on the role of the gospel in providing an ethical framework for business practice;

cognitive and technical skills required for professional activity, with depth in the areas of either Accounting or Leadership and Management;

ability to identify issues and to provide evidence based and innovative solutions, by integrating their Christian worldview with business acumen, to complex issues;

skills in critical thinking and self-directed learning, using a range of sources and methods;

communication skills to present business theories, ideas and arguments to specialist and non-specialist audiences using appropriately selected communication methods;

Application of Knowledge and Skills:

Demonstrate

ability to analyze and discuss contemporary topics, issues and challenges impacting on business in Australian and international contexts and create solutions to these challenges. This includes the ability to apply knowledge and skills to new and diverse contexts;

self-reflection, independent learning and evaluation of own performance for the purpose of vocational development.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Graduates of the Bachelor of Business are prepared with a Christian worldview and relevant skills to work in a variety of settings - from small business and community organizations to multinational companies and large-scale industries, as well as the and not-for-profit sector. 为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants must meet one of the following academic entry requirements: For Applicants with Recent Secondary Education: Completion of NSW Higher School Certificate with an ATAR of 65 or higher, or the completion of the interstate or overseas equivalent qualification and result. For Applicants with a Vocational Education and Training Qualification: Completion of an Australian Certificate IV or higher qualification awarded by an authorised institution or registered training organisation (or equivalent overseas qualification). For Applicants with a Higher Education Qualification: Completion of at least an Australian Level 5 Higher Education Diploma awarded under the Australian Qualifications Framework (or equivalent overseas qualification). For Applicants with Work and Life Experience: Applicants with no formal qualifications who are aged 21+ may be eligible for provisional entry into this course. These students will need to successfully complete their first 4 subjects to be permitted to continue without the Provisional Entry restrictions. International Students will be required to show proficiency in English. Specific English requirements for this course are a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 overall, reading 6.0; writing 6.0; speaking 6.0; and listening 6.0 (or equivalent).
