在这里学什么？ **Available for September or January intakes.****Indicate point of entry as Year 3 when applying for this top-up degree.****Course overview**: This top-up degree is ideal if you are qualified to QCF Level 5 (foundation degree, HND or equivalent) in a civil engineering related subject and you wish to enhance your career prospects. Indicate your point of entry as Year 3 when applying.You study the core topics of hydraulics, geotechnics, structures and management. These topics, combined with your individual project, help you develop a range of skills relevant to your profession.**After the course**: Typical roles include construction project management, building or civil engineering for contractors or consultants, architectural practices, local authorities or government agencies. If you successfully complete this degree with at least 2.2 honours you can apply for one of several MSc programmes for further study.Please note, this top-up degree would not be eligible for progression to our accredited postgraduate MSc Civil and Structural Engineering degree. If you're intending to study this postgraduate course then you must first complete our accredited BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering degree and obtain at least a 2.1 honours degree. A 2.2 classification can also be considered if suitable working experience can be evidenced.

为来自中国的学生设计 For entry onto a Foundation or Extended programme, applicants require: Huikao (Chinese senior secondary school graduation certificate) Successful completion of the first two years of Senior Secondary School with a minimum average of 70% or successful completion of Senior Secondary School with a minimum average of 60%; For entry onto an Undergraduate programme, applicants require: For entry onto Year 1: Huikao (Chinese senior secondary school graduation certificate) Successful completion of Senior Secondary School with a minimum average of 80% Or Gaokao (Chinese university or college entrance exam) with a minimum score of 500; For entry onto Higher National Diploma: Gaokao with a minimum score of 450; For entry onto Integrated Master of Engineering – MEng (Hons): Gaokao with a minimum score of 550; For entry onto Undergraduate top-up programmes (third-year entry); Dazhuan (three-year college graduation diploma) with a minimum of 70% average or, SQA Higher National Diploma with BBC as minimum or, Edexcel Higher National Diploma – standard UK entry requirements or, UK accredited foundation degree. Please refer the university website for details of the English Language requirements for entry to individual undergraduate degree programmes.
