在这里学什么?Are you interested in understanding the causes and consequences of criminal behavior? Do you want to learn about how the police, courts, and corrections respond to crime? If you are motivated to help build a safer, more just society, you may want to study criminal justice.
UTSA’s Criminal Justice Program
UTSA’s Criminology and Criminal Justice degree includes subjects like policing, investigations, forensic science, violent crime, the legal system, victimology and more. You’ll take classes at the Downtown Campus, which grants convenient access to both downtown San Antonio and dozens of nearby internship opportunities from local, county, state and federal agencies.
Looking to get out of the country? You could even travel to Spain as part of a study abroad program that engages students in a comparative study of criminal justice. This program provides the opportunity to become a well-rounded graduate in an increasingly globalized world and to pursue professional careers in government or the private sector as well as apply to law or graduate schools. You could also work to improve government institutions that deter and mitigate crime and promote a safer community for all.
After you receive your degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice at UTSA, you will
Understand the causes and consequences of crime and the criminal justice system, including police, courts and corrections. Be able to identify effective policies and practices to address crime and justice issues. Understand research practices and be able to critically evaluate criminal justice studies.
