The Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Theology double degree is designed to enable you to provide creative solutions, by integrating your Christian worldview with business acumen, to complex issues such as social and environmental responsibility. You can major in one area of theological study, including: Christian Studies or Languages, and specialize in either Accounting or Leadership & Management.

By combining a solid core of skills in leadership, management, finance, accounting and innovative electives, together with ministry training, you become better equipped to serve in Christian ministry. And likewise, if you serve in the broader business community, you will be better trained and skilled in sharing your faith, leading groups of people and meeting their needs.

COURSE STRUCTURE

The Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Theology is a double degree comprising 32 subjects (320 credit points). It is a combination of two separate awards undertaken concurrently for a reduced total duration. Every program for this award shall include:

All core subjects from the separate awards (16 subjects)

A major specialization from each of the separate awards

To qualify for award of the double degree of Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Theology a candidate shall accrue an aggregate of at least 320 credit points, including satisfactory completion of the core subjects.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES

Knowledge:

Demonstrate

a broad knowledge of business theory, as well as business principles and practices,

a deep knowledge of Christian history, doctrine and tradition as a foundation for ministry, with depth in the areas of either

a depth of knowledge in areas of: (1) Accounting; Leadership and Management; Human Resource Management; or Marketing; and (2) Christian Studies, Biblical Studies, or Theological Studies.

Skills:

Demonstrate

skills to analyze, synthesize, and apply knowledge of business theory, principles and practices;

skills to analyze and interpret the biblical text, using sound hermeneutical methods, as a core document of the Christian faith with consideration for the contemporary application of the text;

skills to understand and communicate a Christian worldview, with particular emphasis on the role of the gospel in providing an ethical framework for business practice;

cognitive and technical skills required for professional activity, with depth in two areas of either Accounting; Leadership and Management; Human Resource Management; or Marketing; Christian Studies, Biblical Studies, or Theological Studies;

ability to identify issues and to provide creative solutions, by integrating their Christian worldview with business acumen, to complex issues;

skills in critical thinking and self-directed research, using a range of sources and methods;

communication skills to present theories, ideas and arguments to specialist and non-specialist audiences using appropriately selected communication methods.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants must meet one of the following academic entry requirements: For Applicants with Recent Secondary Education: Completion of NSW Higher School Certificate with an ATAR of 65 or higher, or the completion of the interstate or overseas equivalent qualification and result. For Applicants with a Vocational Education and Training Qualification: Completion of an Australian Certificate IV or higher qualification awarded by an authorised institution or registered training organisation (or equivalent overseas qualification). For Applicants with a Higher Education Qualification: Completion of at least an Australian Level 5 Higher Education Diploma awarded under the Australian Qualifications Framework (or equivalent overseas qualification). For Applicants with Work and Life Experience: Applicants with no formal qualifications who are aged 21+ may be eligible for provisional entry into this course. These students will need to successfully complete their first 4 subjects to be permitted to continue without the Provisional Entry restrictions. International Students will be required to show proficiency in English. Specific English requirements for this course are a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 overall, reading 6.0; writing 6.0; speaking 6.0; and listening 6.0 (or equivalent).
