专业概况

The Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) is a career-focused program that gives students a strong foundation in a full spectrum of business disciplines. The majority of full-time students complete their degree in two academic years, and part-time students finish their studies in two-and-a-half to three-and-a-half academic years. This innovative curriculum incorporates analytic strategies and hands-on understanding of business practices through experiential educational programs and international travel opportunities. Dually accredited by AACSB-International for both business and accounting programs, the M.B.A. program is offered at the Queens; Manhattan; Staten Island; and Rome, Italy campuses.

The Juris Doctor (J.D.) program is taught by a nationally respected faculty, congenial, diverse and talented students and a powerful network of successful alumni. These are the hallmarks of St. John’s University’s distinguished School of Law. For over 85 years, St. John's School of Law has fostered a tradition of excellence – a heritage that continues to strengthen both academically and structurally. The J.D. program of St. John's School of Law is approved by the Council of the Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar of the American Bar Association. The Law School is also a member of the Association of American Law Schools.

The 89-credit Juris Doctor (J.D.) program is comprised of 36 credit hours of required coursework and 53 credit hours of elective coursework. The 33 required credit hours are completed in the first year of School of Law and the remaining three credit hour requirement is completed in the second year. Students are prohibited from taking any business courses during their first year of Law School. The 36-credit Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) program is comprised of 24 credit hours of required coursework, a three credit hour capstone course, and nine credit hours of electives.

The dual J.D./M.B.A. program allows a student to complete nine credit hours of business courses and include them as law school electives. Likewise, the student can use their business-related law school coursework to meet a required course in business law. This would reduce the combined coursework by 18 credit hours. In addition, because law school tuition allows a student to take up to 17 credit hours per semester, a student can complete an additional 12 credit hours while completing his or her law degree. Therefore, it is possible to complete 30 credit hours of M.B.A. coursework without paying any additional tuition.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants must have an evidence of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university including official transcripts from each institution attended. English Language Requirements: TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) examination. Successful candidates present a score of 500 on the paper-based test; 173 on the computerized test; 61 on the internet based test; or 5.0 on the IELTS (International English Language Testing System).
