Human rights and the law is a huge growth area, evolving and expanding in response to new developments, threats, and evolution in our thinking as a society.

It has great significance for major global challenges such as war, terrorism, gender, migration, and climate change, and interfaces quite significantly with impacts from science and innovation.

This new Distance Learning (DL) LLM in Human Rights and Development is designed to provide you with an understanding of human rights in its multi-layered form, with a critical emphasis on its complementarity with development.

The flexibility of the distance learning delivery allows you to study at your own convenience with our virtual learning environment, and we provide live online sessions with tutors that help you contextualise your learning.

The course offers a wide range of modules that are contemporary, academically rigorous, and skills oriented. You'll gain core knowledge of the wider context framing law and policy in this field, whilst having the flexibility to tailor your degree to suit your particular interests and career aspirations by choosing from a range of specialist human rights law and development modules.

The programme content is regularly updated in response to latest developments such as COVID-19, climate change and the latest advances in technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain and fintech, which impact on Human Rights and Development.

为来自中国的学生设计 For first class degree classification students need to have bachelors degree with 85%; For 2:1 degree classification students need to have 80% and for 2:2 degree classification students need to have 70% are considered. You will need to achieve an Overall Band score of at least 6.0*, with at least 5.0 in each of the four sub-tests (speaking, listening, reading, writing) or 5.5 in each of the sub-tests if you require a Tier 4 visa.
