Do you ever watch the Olympics or a sports game and are overcome with a sense of awe by the performance of an athlete? The way an NBA basketball player can flawlessly make his shots and score against the opposing team—or a stunning acrobatic move that a gymnast manages to pull off perfectly? If so, you might be interested in majoring in kinesiology.

UTSA’s Kinesiology Program

If you pursue a Kinesiology degree at UTSA (Ranked as the 38th Most Affordable Bachelor’s in Kinesiology for 2020 according to Great Value Colleges), you’ll choose a concentration in Athletic Training, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology and Health Science, and Physical Education. Concentrations are declared after you’ve been admitted and have met with your academic advisor. In these programs, you’ll explore a wide variety of fields like community health, school health, nutrition, exercise physiology, exercise and sport psychology, adaptive/developmental physical education, biomechanics, motor learning and control.
