Have you ever wondered what makes a person tick? As in, the things that flow through their clockwork mind that cause them to arrive at a mental destination, whether it’s through rational logic, cognitive bias or abnormal thinking. The human mind is a complicated entity with all its twists and turns through consciousness and subconsciousness. If you’re interested in unraveling the mental processes that affect individual and social behavior, then you may want to major in Psychology.

UTSA’s Psychology Program

UTSA’s Psychology degree will cultivate a strong scientific understanding of behavior and mental processes. You’ll learn how to apply scientific principles to a broad range of topics like memory, sensation, motivation, emotion, personality, abnormal behavior and more. This degree program will prepare you for a number of government and private careers in the fields of social work, human resources, and organizational management. You’ll also be able to enroll in graduate school and pursue becoming a licensed psychologist where you’ll have the opportunity to work in schools, hospitals, mental health organizations, nonprofit agencies and more.
