UTSA’s Actuarial Science Program

Actuarial science is a discipline that uses mathematical and statistical models to solve problems in insurance and finance. UTSA’s, Actuarial Science degree will have you taking interdisciplinary courses in mathematics, statistics, economics and finance. You’ll learn how to help organizations make good business decisions and help them solve complex corporate problems. You’ll train to become an actuary, a profession that’s involved in everything from developing probability tables for natural disasters and unemployment to measuring risk for mainstream industries like health and insurance.

A TOEFL Paper-Based Test (PBT) score of 550 or greater. An IELTS score of 6.5 or greater. A PTE Academic score of 58 or greater. A Cambridge C1 Advanced minimum scale 180 grade C or higher.
