MPA Program Overview

Suffolk's Master's in Public Administration

Suffolk’s MPA is a NASPAA-accredited master’s program, making it one of the country’s top-tier degrees in public administration. Your courses take a practical, hands-on approach with case studies, guest speakers, and travel seminars. In this Master of Public Administration program, you can customize your degree with a concentration in information systems, performance management, big data analytics, community health, state and local government, or nonprofit management. You’ll get real-world experience, as Suffolk is located next to the Massachusetts State House, atop historic Beacon Hill. Suffolk faculty will link the analytical curriculum requirements to in-person public management practice.

MPA Concentrations

Develop your analytical skills further and gain specialized expertise in your field by choosing one of the three concentrations within the Suffolk MPA program. Each of these help you gain the skills and knowledge to distinguish you from the pack with a future-focused skill set.

Community Health

Build the skills to provide healthcare delivery and management in community agencies, advocacy organizations, and government agencies.

State & Local Government

为来自中国的学生设计 Students must have a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in the United States, or an equivalent degree granted by an institution in another country (as determined by the Office of Graduate Admission). English Language Scores: A minimum TOEFL score of 80 in the iBT scoring system (with no sub-score lower than 17) or 550 on the paper-based is required to be considered for full admission. International English Language Testing System (IELTS) - A minimum score of 6.5 (with no sub-score below 6.0) is required to be considered for full admission. PTE-Academic (Pearson Test of English) - A minimum score of 65 is required to be considered for full admission.
